The Auberge

areas and a pavillion nearby from
which you can enjoy an exceptional view of the village, the cove and
the Fjord.
L'Anse-St-Jean
Founded
by pioneers who came from the region of Charlevoix on the banks of the
Saint Lawrence River, our small village is nestled in a Saguenay River
cove.
Moreover,
L'Anse-St-Jean is the first monarchy in America , where our
Majesty Denys The First de L’Anse
had reigns there betweem 1997 and 2004.
The Cévennes
The
inn was thus named to honor the Saguenay Park's sister park, the Park de la
Cevennes in France. Also, the village of
L’Anse-St-Jean is twinned with the village of Florac in the Cevennes
region of
France. Many friendships have grown through this twinning of our
two regions. In fact, the
watercolours which decorate this site and other advertising documents
of the
inn were painted by Martine Lecouvreux, an artist from the area of the
Cevennes.
